ABOUT JCB EDPRO

JCB Ed Pro is an educational consulting company that provides book editing and writing coaching for high performance entrepreneurs.  I founded this company in 2015 to enable me to work with my clients who needed writing coaching, content developing, and editing services.  I provide curriculum development for school districts, high performance entrepreneurs, and organizations to help them align their content to the needs of their audience. 

 

As a writing coach, I work with individuals who are developing their nonfiction manuscripts and help writers with professional manuscripts, master’s theses, and doctoral dissertations.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama.  I have a Master of Arts degree in English/Language Arts from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in Huntsville, Alabama.  I also have a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  I have been an English teacher at the middle and high school level, an instructional literacy coach, and an instructional facilitator for English. 

 

My work with teachers has been the most beneficial aspect of my development and has prepared me to think about the needs of students in the projects that I create.  My professional experience and educational background in the field of English enable me to think critically about the science of writing when I work with my clients.  I have worked for the Baltimore County Public School System, the Clayton County Public School System, and the DeKalb County School District in varying roles.  I was an adjunct professor in the Education Department for Concordia University Portland for 7 years, and I currently work with undergraduate English students at DeVry University.  I am in my 8th year as an assistant principal and serve as the assistant principal of instruction at Towers High School in the DeKalb County School District.
